Our guest line up includes our very own Master Paulinho Sabiá from Rio de Janeiro, Mestre China, Contra-Mestre Eurico, Professora Potiguara, Professor Junior, Luciana Camargo (Samba) and Kellen Pinheiro (Samba).

Respeitar para ser respeitado -- Educar para se evoluir!

Portanto, nesta base, vamos promover uma 'oficina de samba' na AU com o objetivo de adicionar pra educacao do povo, e, promover a cultura brasileira de forma respeitosa e com a devida qualidade.

Pois, o povo (no Br e afora!) precisa ser educado no sentido de que a cultura e os 'rituais' do samba, dancar e tocar instrumento, devem ser respeitados e bem produzidos. Senao "fica" (sic!) "uma coisa de estupido" de promover nudez e balancar a bunda feito prostituto/a e "bater no instrumento" em vez de TOCAR, como fazem "muito$" ignorantes e outros comerciantes sem escrupulos, em geral, os que envergonham e prostituem os valores culturais e espirituais do povo.

Com esta atitude, civica e artistica, a finalidade educacional, eu idealisei e desenhei este projeto cultural e convidei a professora, a sambista Erika Costa de Sao Paulo, para fazer um programa especial para o povo australiano, em Canberra a capital da AU no mes de Novembro, ja que estamos tambem exaltando entre outros afazeres culturais o 20 de Novembro.

Teremos entao programado uma oficina de samba que inclui:

#Palestra da historia do BR que inclui a cultura e o modo de bem viver o samba do povo do BR;

#Tocar (e nao "bater no instrumento"!) os ritimos do Samba, Batucada e Samba Raggaee; outros ritimos relativos;

#Dancar e desfilar o samba e reconhecer as variacoes de samba-de-... *(com a musica do samba e batucada ao vivo).

A direcao geral do evento, Mestre Jeronimo. Producao executiva, meu aluno (professor educacional, capoerista, musico) o australiano Lachlan Henessy.

Este e-mail abaixo em ingles foi enviado para o BR e a AU e outras partes do mundo. Estou enviando esta 'traducao' como forma de informacao para os que, ainda, nao le-em em ingles.

On the 9th of November 2008, artist and educator Mestre Jeronimo and Sambista Erika Costa (dancer / from Sao Paulo) will be performing a 4hr first-class event workshop that includes the history, the music, the dance of samba (a culture and way of life) from Brazil.

The Workshop will include:
Playing the music of Samba and Batucada with the traditional instruments
Dancing Samba to live Batucada music

Learning about the history and the way of life of Brazilians

*... (lots of fun during the event and a party with Samba and Capoeira)
