Feliz Aniversário Márcio Moraes Mendes (Cupixi) - nascido em 29 de setembro de 1970.
Minha idéia sobre a Capoeira é de uma arte brasileira autêntica, de raízes Africanas com influência Indígena e Portuquesa. Concordo com a idéia de transe na Capoeira. E penso criar um sistema espiritual de praticar a capoeira. Esse é meu grande objetivo. Eu peguei minha primeira aula de Capoeira com Mestre Fernando, aluno de Tabosa de Brasília, mas aprendi mesmo foi com Mestre Bezerra do Maranhão e pioneiro da capoeira no norte do Brasil. Em especial em Belém e Amapá. Para mim, Mestre Bezerra, é um Mestre e um pai dentro e fora da roda.
Já ministrei aulas em diversos países da Europa e Canadá. Tenho a graduação de Contramestre recebida por Mestre Bezerra e atualmente tenho dois grupos de Capoeira: Um chamado Muiraquitã Capoeira e um grupo menor que se chama Escola de Capuera Angola, sendo que o primeiro está associado e faz parte do Aché Brasil, do Mestre Eclilson de Jesus do Recife.
Sou filiado a Aliança Ariri do Mestre e grande amigo e um outro pai para mim, Mestre Derli, do Rio de Janeiro. Tem uma pessoa que já conheço há muito tempo através do Mestre Derli, contramestre Joel Pires Marques, amigo do Mestre Derli e também amigo meu.
Atualmente moro em Toronto, sou casado com uma grande mulher, Tatiana Ramos, do nosso amor, geramos um fruto, nosso filho Raphael Ramos Mendes. Que já com apenas um ano de vida ja esta indo as rodas de capoeira do meu grupo.

sou membro do Grupo Brasil como diretor de esporte (Associação de Brasileiros do Ontario);
Vice-Presidente da Associação Nacional de Capoeira do Canadá;
Fiz um ano de Mestrado em danca no departamento de artes da York University, agora transferi para Filosofia, curso que fiz por um ano no Brasil;
Também sou Presidente do Adimula Cultural Foundation Inc. (Surcusal Toronto), centro para divulgação Yorubá no mundo, do qual o escritorio central é em São Paulo fundado pelo meu grande irmão Baba Ifarinde Adegboyega, descendente direto da Família Chango.
